- Maintain and promptly update your account information to keep it accurate

ALT reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account that appears to have been compromised, is misused, or violates these Terms.

- Use our platform to upload, transmit, or share any content that is unlawful, harmful, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of our systems, servers, or databases
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of our services or any connected networks

- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with ALT

Violation of these acceptable use requirements may result in immediate suspension of your account and, where applicable, legal action.
5. Intellectual Property
All content published on the ALT website and management portal — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, course materials, videos, and software — is the intellectual property of Arbeit Language Training Institute or its content licensors, and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use our content solely for your personal, non-commercial educational purposes. You may not:
- Reproduce, republish, distribute, or sell any content from our platform
- Modify or create derivative works based on our content without prior written permission
- Remove or alter any proprietary notices, labels, or watermarks

6. Enrolment, Fees, and Payments

- Course fees must be paid in full or as per any agreed instalment plan before access to learning materials is granted
- ALT reserves the right to modify course fees at any time; changes will be communicated with reasonable notice
- Fee refund eligibility is subject to ALT's prevailing Refund Policy, available upon request from the admissions team
- Failure to maintain payment obligations may result in suspension of access to the portal and related services
7. Student and User Conduct
All students, staff, and users of ALT services are expected to maintain conduct consistent with the institution's standards of professionalism and respect. This includes:
- Treating instructors, peers, and staff with dignity and respect at all times
- Attending classes and completing assignments in accordance with programme requirements
- Refraining from academic dishonesty, including plagiarism, cheating, or misrepresentation of work
- Complying with any additional code of conduct guidelines issued by ALT
ALT reserves the right to remove any student or user from its programmes or platforms for conduct that violates these standards, without refund of fees paid.
8. Third-Party Links and Services
Our website and portal may contain links to third-party websites or integrate with external services (including payment processors, examination bodies, and communication tools). These third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
ALT does not endorse, control, or assume any responsibility for the content, practices, or reliability of any third-party services. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk.
9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
Our services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, ALT shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of — or inability to use — our services, even if ALT has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
ALT does not guarantee specific outcome from language training or career placement as a result of completing any programme. Individual results may vary.
10. Termination of Access
ALT reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to any part of our services at any time, with or without notice, for reasons including (but not limited to):
- Violation of these Terms of Use
- Non-payment of outstanding fees
- Conduct deemed harmful to other users, staff, or the institution
- Legal obligations requiring us to do so
Upon termination, your right to access the service will immediately cease. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) shall continue to apply.
11. Governing Law
These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of ALT services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kenya.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

We may revise these Terms of Use from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or operational practices. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the Terms were last revised.
